In May, Section 1 of the Phase I Yulin-Xi’an Gas Transmission Pipeline Project officially kicked off in steady progress. This section starts from Yichuan Compressor Station at Taiping Village, Qiulin Town, Yichuan County (Stake Number: YLA001), with a total pipeline length of 31.89 kilometers. It adopts pipelines with an outer diameter of 1016mm, L485M steel grade and wall thickness of 14mm/16.8mm in single-pipe laying mode, with a designed operating pressure of 8MPa.

As a key component of Shaanxi’s main natural gas pipeline network, the construction of this project carries far-reaching significance for optimizing regional energy structure, guaranteeing domestic gas supply and boosting local economic development. It will further improve the provincial natural gas transmission network, enhance the stability and reliability of energy supply, and inject solid momentum into the economic and social development of areas along the route including Yulin, Yan’an and Xi’an.

The project applies Xionggu TIG welding machines for root pass welding, combined with Xionggu A-305 automatic welding equipment to implement single-torch upward welding technology. This integrated welding solution boasts outstanding advantages as follows:
