The commencement ceremony of county to county connection project in Guangdong province was held in Meizhou, Shaoguan and Qingyuan cities in Guangdong province. This gas pipeline network project is invested by Pipe China, which is one of major projects scheduled in 2021 by Pipe China to achieve the long term vision of carbon neutralization.

The pipeline is 1050 km long with a total investment of USD 1.2 billion and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. The pipeline will cover 22 and counties in eastern, western and northern Guangdong province with total population of 13 million. After the completion of the project, 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas will be transported each year, which can replace the use of standard coal of 4.29 million tons, reduce carbon dioxide by 14.45 million tons, sulfur dioxide 160000 tons, carbon dust 70000 tons and nitrogen oxide 30000 tons.

Pipe China will improve the layout of natural gas infrastructure, accelerate the construction of natural gas pipeline network, LNG terminal and gas storage project so as to achieve the goal of carbon neutralization in China.
